۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In gardens of delight, 43 upon couches, set face to face, 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 And they will all turn to one another, asking each other [about their past lives]. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
