1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
