1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In gardens of delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
