1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They found their father going astray 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
