۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
