۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but this day they make full submission. 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Then, are we not to die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
