۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and said: 'Are we to renounce our gods for the sake of a mad poet' 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 Are we not then to die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They indeed found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
