1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 In gardens of delight, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 Are we not then to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
