۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” – 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah; 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 He looked down and saw (his friend) in the midst of Hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
