۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In gardens of delight, 43 on couches facing each other. 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
