۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 “Instead of Allah and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Are we then not to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They found their father going astray 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
