1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They will say: verily ye! ye were wont to come unto us Imposing. 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do - 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them will be maidens (houris) who restrain their wide glances 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And but for the favour of my lord, I should have been of those brought forward. 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then look how was the end of those who were warned - 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
