۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 They will submit to questioning then, 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Save single-minded slaves of Allah; 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In gardens of pleasure 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
