1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 "What is the matter with you? Why do you not help one another (as you used to do in the world)?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 You will only be recompensed according to your deeds.” 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He said (to others on the thrones), “Will you take a glimpse (into hell) below?” 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I should certainly have been among those brought (there)! 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74
