۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it; 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 except for the chosen servants of Allah? 74
