۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 He will look down and see him in hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
