1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 we had no power over you; but you yourselves were a rebellious people. 30 The statement of Our Lord is realized against us, and we are tasting it, 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 They can only return to hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
