1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 'No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Then, are we not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 and they are running in their footsteps. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
