۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 And they will advance toward each other mutually questioning. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 We had no power over you. You were a rebellious people, 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 On thrones, facing each other. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is that better by way of hospitality or the Zaqqum tree, 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 Then see how was the end of those warned, 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
