Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
