And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
