And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
