3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
