3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
