3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
