3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
