3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
