3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
