And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
