3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
