3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
