3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
