3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
