3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
