3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
