3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
