3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
