3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
