3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
