3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
