3/4 Hizb 45

Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
