Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
