Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
