3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
