And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
