Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
