And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
