And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
