3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
