3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "Verily, I am sick [at heart]!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
